What is Kundalini Reiki?
There are thousands of chakras located in the ethereal body. Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel or turning. They are energy centers, force centers, subtle matter, or light that is usually shown as flower-like, saucer shaped depressions, or wheel-like vortices that receive, assimilate, and express our life force energy. Since various areas of the physical body needs development and maintenance, the chakras take in this vital energy and transforms it.
There are seven major chakras within the immortal body or the light body. These seven major chakras are located along the spine at some of the nervous system's major branchings. They begin at the base of the spinal column and move upward toward the skull. These chakras open toward the front of the body like a flower or blossom, and are constantly moving, rotating, or attracting energy to radiate or receive.
The Seven Major Chakras
Chakra One ~ Foundation, Base, Support
Element Earth, color red, physical identity, oriented to self-preservation
The root or base chakra is located in the perineum at the base of the spine below the genitals, above the anus inside the coccyx and at the first three vertebrae. This chakra forms our foundation and is related to our survival instincts, our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. The root chakra brings health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence.
Chakra Two ~ Dwelling Place of the Self
Element Water, color orange, emotional identity, oriented to self-gratification
The sacral chakra is located in the abdomen, lower back, and over the spleen; in the solar plexus and genital region. This chakra connects to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through desire, sensation, movement and feeling. This chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change.
Chakra Three ~ City of Jewels or Gems
Element Fire, color yellow, ego identity, oriented to self-definition
The solar plexus chakra is located in the part of the vertebral column that corresponds to the navel region and is known as the power chakra. It rules our will, personal power, autonomy, and metabolism. If healthy it will bring us energy, spontaneity, non-dominating power, and effectiveness.
Chakra Four ~ Heart Lotus
Element Air, color green, social identity, oriented to self-acceptance
The heart chakra is located in the area of the heart cavity in the center of the breast and is the middle chakra in the system of seven. This chakra is related to love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion and empathy, and have a deep sense of peace and centeredness.
Chakra Five ~ Throat Lotus
Element Akasha, color blue, creative identity, oriented to self-expression
The throat chakra is located in the neck/throat region hence its relation to communication and creativity. In the throat chakra we experience the world through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language.
Chakra Six ~ Point Between the Eyebrows
Light, color indigo, archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection
The third eye chakra is located in the forehead between the eyebrows and is associated with the pineal gland. It is related to seeing, both physically and intuitively. It also opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us see the big picture.
Chakra Seven ~ Nectar or Moon, Nectar of Immortality, Moon
Thought, color violet, universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge
The crown chakra is located above the third eye in the center of the forehead or in the pineal gland, behind the pituitary gland. This chakra is our connection to Mother and Father God, the greater world beyond, alternate realities/dimensions, spiritual connections to our ancestors, guardian angels, and loved ones in the light. It is a timelessness and a spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and bliss.
Our chakras create our aura or electro-magnetic field and reveal the state of our mental/emotional health and general health.
Rei (ray) - Japanese for universal, spiritual consciousness, sacred, supernatural, knowledge, etc.

Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy
Kundalini is coiled energy that lies at the base of the spine. It begins at our root chakra and flows to the crown chakra. Kundalini Reiki is one of many forms of Reiki in which Universal Energy is channeled through a healer into the receiver's physical and energetic body and their many chakras including the seven major chakras, to allow spiritual, emotional/mental, and physical healing.
When one fully commits and engages in Kundalini Reiki for healing the effects can be immediate, because the Kundalini energy is always available, it never runs out, never gives anyone receiving it more or less than they need, and it may be used mostly whenever needed. When this important energy channel is blocked, closed, or restricted due to stress or trauma, our bodies may hold these traumas or stressors, which may begin to be felt as illnesses, symptoms, dis-eases, emotional instabilities/depression/hopelessness, and a feeling of being overwhelmed, etc. Stuck energy can manifest in the body from something as small as being grabbed by the wrist frequently by a parent as a child, being in a car accident, fear of spiders, or something deeper such as abuse.
Benefits of receiving Kundalini Reiki:
What will happen during a session?
Kundalin Reiki can be done in person or long distance. There is only one Kundalini Reiki attunement that cannot be done long distance and it is a very important one for full body healing.
During hands on sessions, the client lays on a table, fully clothed while the healer lays hands on them; usually on their shoulders, head, upper arms, knees, and feet. Sessions usually last about 1 1/2 hrs. and includes a health assessment, and discussion between the client and healer before and after a session. The healer will tell the client what they saw, if anything during the session, any other pertinent thoughts, and may possibly give homework until next time's session.
It should always be explained by the healer what will happen before, during, and after a healing session. The healer usually will not know what will happen during a session for the client but can explain the process of running the energy.
It is extremely important that the client know they will more than likely be dealing with "stuff" such as an excess of anger, irritability, sadness, fatigue, and/or fear during their first three sessions after they leave. They may also feel a deep desire to be alone to process the release that occurred during their Kundalini Reiki sessions and afterwards. The beauty of Reiki is the healing does not only occur on the table. The true work occurs after the sessions in the processing of what will arrive in the client. This is quite normal but will need to happen if the client wants healing. The client must remember not to blame others for their "stuff". Please, do not bury the emotions and memories that may show up. Process them appropriately, and move on in bliss and gratitude! You will be reaching higher heights!
At first it may seem strange or the client may forget what is happening is due to their Kundalini Reiki sessions. It is nothing to be afraid of as after these releases are dealt with the emotional body will lighten and feelings of deep peace and bliss are bound to happen. Remember all of the "stuff" that has been inflicted upon the self over the years and in past incarnations. It is being held in the body so it must come out. It is most beneficial to engage in some form of self expression to deal such as painting, journaling, exercising, etc. Journaling is wonderful at this time, especially to keep track of progress.
Those receiving these energy attunements have reported feeling heat/or energy in various areas of their body, visions, or have fallen into a deep relaxing sleep. If you fall asleep this is good! We are all different and everybody does not have the same experiences. Not feeling anything does not mean the Kundalini energy is not flowing!
Drink lots of clean water after your sessions and eat well to support the release of toxins and the energy clearing. I recommend no heavy eating, ingesting caffeine or an excess of sugar 1-2 hours before a session. Sessions usually last 1 1/2 hours and includes time to check in before and after. If you think Kundalini Reiki is the end all be all you are mistaken. It supports a positive, uplifting lifestyle, so it cannot be blamed on your healer, if they are a good healer, if you feel absolutely no changes whatsoever after your sessions or if the positive feelings are not sustained.
For optimum healing it is recommended that new clients receive three Kunalini Reiki healing sessions within one week of the other, then tune-ups at their leisure unless they are attuned with the Kundalini Reiki attunements through a Kundalini Reiki Master, which will allow you to run your own tune-ups.
How do I choose the right healer?
In your decision to commit to Kundalini Reiki you will want as pure a healer as possible. This means a healer that has integrity and is very much aware that the Kundalini energy is flowing through them, as the conduit, and that they are not the healer. I myself, am a conduit for the Universal God Energy to flow through me in order for you, the client, to receive exactly what you need to begin or continue your healing process. If a Reiki healer says they are the source of your healing, run in the other direction. It is their ego leading them, not the God source.
In this case, it is the utmost of importance that the healer is of sound mind, body, heart, and spirit. The healer you choose must be free of judgments and both of you must be of the same or similar beliefs in spirituality. For example, I begin my Kundalini Reiki sessions with a prayer and yes, I do and will say "God". If my client does not agree with this or is not able to understand that God's only name is not God, then it is not a good match. This in and of itself will change the energy flow, thereby possibly not allowing the client to receive what they need to receive.
The client should be able to ask questions freely of the healer and should be nurtured and held throughout the process. No, it is not the healer's responsibility to take on the "stuff" that will undoubtedly come up for the client at all, yet it is beneficial for the healer to prepare the client about what may happen and to leave the lines of communication open. It is never alright for the client to blame the healer for what "stuff" comes up for them outside of their sessions.
Remember, the client and the healer will draw to each other exactly what they need as the client is teaching the healer and the healer is teaching the client.
Once again, it is important to remember unresolved emotional baggage or traumas can still be in the client's energy after completing Kundalini Reiki. This is due to the client possibly not wanting to let go of that baggage or trauma. This could be due to the depth of the hurt or that the client has forgotten about it or buried it deep in their subconscious mind. At this time it would be necessary for a thorough evaluation as to what the next step can be for the benefit of the client.
Where God and spirit are concerned, there is no time and space to limit them. Reiki can always work with no regard to spacial limitations. That is true power and this is why the laying on of hands/or long distance is possible. The client does not have to understand this fully. The client just has to be ready to commit and do a bit of work to heal.
