Peace to you. Thank you so much for visiting my website. As you peruse the site, I am pleased to be able to tell you a little about myself, what it is that I do, what I can do for you, and even more, how you can play the greatest role in your spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
I was born in Baltimore, MD. As a child, I had always been and still am empathetic to humans and animals. Being in nature was something I felt quite comfortable with. Due to many incarnations and my inquisitive nature, I frequently questioned my existence as it relates not only to me, but to others and the world. I was naturally attracted to spirituality. My father first introduced me to traditional healing and traditional ways of thinking. My mother was an extension of this, as she allowed me to do and think as I pleased, which has further allowed me to evolve into who I am today.
My journey took me to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996. I have extensive experience working with emotionally disturbed youth in various settings. Working with children and adolescents taught me to have more patience, compassion and understanding about the enormous amount of suffering human beings experience. I earned a Master's Degree in herbal medicine from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in June 2006. In November 2007 I earned a Certificate of Achievement in Living Food Lifestyle Total Well-Being at the Ann Wigmore Institute of Puerto Rico that focused on eating to live by incorporating living and raw foods into the food lifestyle. At the Ann Wigmore Institute, their focus is on healing the body, mind and spirit of those that have a desire to eat to live versus eat to die. They also taught me how to prepare living and raw foods for those that may be terminally ill, suffering with a dis-ease, illness or other symptoms.
In September 2009, I had the pleasure of going to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to become certified in Aris Latham's (one of the earliest pioneers of the raw foods movement) Sunfired Cuisine (living and raw foods) program. In addition, in September 2009, I became a Kundalini Reiki Master, and in early 2010 I became a Gold Reiki Master. I continue to build upon my Reiki education as it is has been a major part of my personal healing. This has allowed me to see how important it can be in my client's lives. I have learned that Reiki and other energy attunements can assist one in connecting and becoming their true Self by assisting to purge all things that are not serving us emotionally, physically, spiritualy and enviromentally. As well, I am overjoyed to assist others to heal traditionally while I continue personal spiritual growth, always.
Fortunately, while on our spiritual path, we come in contact with other beings, be it human, animal, or otherwise, that want to help us break free of the chains we inflict upon ourselves and that society inflicts us; to be our true Self and to be an extension of Infinite Love. I am but one of those beings. I continuously receive the gift of spiritual growth and self understanding when I interact with my clients and others in general. I bring an immense amount of love, kindness, compassion, hope and exuberance to those that choose to work with me. I believe in the strength and in the power of the human spirit. I am a beacon of light, and I extend that light to you.
Blessings and Love,
Shelowann
